The hands-on method
1. Grab a strip of paper 1cm high
2. Wrap it carefully around the finger on which you will wear the ring
3. Mark the exact point where it overlaps
4. Lay the paper strip on a flat surface and with a ruler measure the length from mark to mark
5. Use the table above to find the size that corresponds to the measurement taken in mm
Measure a ring
1. Choose from your rings the one suitable for the finger where you will wear the new ring. Cut a strip of paper 1 cm high.
2. Roll it up and insert it inside the ring making it stick to the inside, as in the image below
3. With a fine-pointed pen mark the exact spot where one end of the paper strip overlaps the other
4. Unroll the strip on a ruler and use the table above to find the size that corresponds to the measurement taken in mm (second-to-last column). Or simply subtract 40: example 62 mm. - 40 = Italian size 22
